MRmicro is our software package for the analysis of diffusion MRI data. It provides a detailed characterization of the tissue microstructure and enables complex modeling in real-time. Its aim is to integrate microstructure imaging into clinical practice.
Biophysical models, such as NODDI1 and VERDICT2, provide a more detailed characterization of tissue microstructure than conventional DTI (Diffusion Tensor Imaging); however, their long processing times have hindered clinical adoption. With MRmicro, such models can be computed in real time, enabling the integration of microstructure imaging into standard clinical practice.
MRmicro can be used to study the microstructure of brain tissue, particularly in neurological disorders such as multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and cerebral ischemia.
1 in 8 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer. MRmicro can help to detect and monitor prostate cancer, providing a non-invasive alternative to biopsy.
