DICEtech·Product·MRmicro

MRmicro
microstructure, in seconds.

A vendor-agnostic software pipeline that turns diffusion weighted MR sequences into quantitative, voxel-wise maps of tissue microstructure — installed on a single workstation, alongside your scanner. Compatible with 1.5 T and 3 T scanners from any vendor.

Outputs

Advanced biomarkers for different tissues.

Each tissue calls for the model that fits it best — VERDICT for prostate oncology, NODDI and SANDI for brain microstructure. MRmicro produces a named, quantitative biomarker map per voxel and writes it back to your PACS as standard DICOM — radiologists open them in the same viewer they use today.

Vascular, Extracellular & Restricted Diffusion for Cytometry in Tumours

01
fic
Intracellular fraction
Cell density per voxel. Primary biomarker for prostate cancer detection and risk stratification.
02
fec
Extracellular fraction
Interstitial water content. Drops in densely cellular tumours.
03
fvasc
Vascular fraction
Pseudo-diffusion from microcirculation. Perfusion proxy without contrast injection.
04
R
Cell radius
Mean cell size. Distinguishes Gleason patterns; correlates with aggressiveness.

Neurite Orientation Dispersion and Density Imaging

01
NDI
Neurite density index
Density of axonal/dendritic processes. White-matter integrity in MS, TBI, Alzheimer's.
02
ODI
Orientation dispersion
Coherence of neurite orientations. Sensitive to demyelination and cortical disorganisation.
03
fiso
Isotropic fraction
Free-water content. Flags oedema and CSF partial-volume effects.
+
More on the way
Multi-shell extensions and free-water elimination ship in v2.

Soma And Neurite Density Imaging

01
fsoma
Soma fraction
Cell-body density in cortex. Sensitive to neuronal loss and cortical thinning.
02
fneur
Neurite fraction
Density of dendrites and unmyelinated axons in gray matter.
03
Rsoma
Soma radius
Mean cell-body size. Probes cortical layer composition.
04
De
Extracellular diffusivity
Water mobility in extracellular space. Reflects cortical microarchitecture.
Deployment

One box. Between your scanner and your PACS.

MRmicro runs on a single Linux workstation with a modern GPU. No cloud. No data leaves the hospital.

A

Scanner

Any 1.5 T or 3 T system from any vendor. Based on multi-shell DWI sequence.

B

DICOM router

Hospital network routes diffusion series to MRmicro.

C

MRmicro node

Local workstation. Full processing in 3 minutes.

D

Derived series

Parametric maps written as standard DICOM, sent back to PACS.

E

Reading room

Radiologist opens the maps in the existing viewer. No new software to learn.

Specs

Honest numbers.

Hardware
1× workstation, no GPU required
Standard CPU workstation. 64 GB RAM. 2 TB NVMe local storage. No specialized accelerator.
Scanner compatibility
1.5 T & 3 T, any vendor
Based on multi-shell DWI sequence — no custom hardware required.
Processing pipeline
3 min end-to-end
From DICOM ingestion to delivered maps — including denoising, eddy-current correction, motion correction, registrations, and microstructure fit.
Regulatory
CE Class IIa MDR — in progress
EU MDR submission opened Jan 2026. ISO 13485 in place. ISO 14971 risk file maintained.
